Summary
A hemp-based alternative to standard countertop material. Made with abaca fibers bought from the Philippines and Ecuador. Abaca is a type of plant noted for its fibers used in weaving. The fibers, commonly referred to as hemp, have been used in textiles for more than 6,000 years. More than 25,000 products, including monetary currency are made with the fibers.

How is it used
Countertops, tooling in the Aerospace industry, fiberglass reinforcement in the marine industry and outdoor skate ramp surfaces.
How is it made
Primarily comprised of paper from managed forests throughout North America. The paper is treated with phenolic resin, pressed and finally baked to create solid sheets. During the production cycle the layers of paper are gradually crossed-linked with each other to create solid, durable sheets.
