Services we provide

Industry analysis & User audit

Every day the number of products on the market claiming to be eco-friendly increases. Through speaking with and studying your current customers, competitors, and by analyzing the industry as a whole, we will work with you to develop a strong competitive advantage. We will look closely at the marketplace as a whole as well as your companies place in it. We do research with our clients to help them stand out from the competition by leveraging their decisions and highlighting the sustainable features of their products in a genuine way. As we focus specifically on sustainability, we can work in our knowledge of consumers, manufacturers and their reactions to product pitches, brand strategies, and features.

Life-cycle analysis & Product assessment

The term ‘life cycle’ refers to the full history and future of a product. This service looks at everything from raw material to manufacture, distribution, use, and eventual disposal. Analysis and assessment of the life cycle helps us target the right issues. It allows us to benchmark where you are, to compile and compare the strengths and weaknesses of your products against others on the market, and to identify competitive advantages with regards to sustainability. A LCA report will also help us target where your company can improve its internal sustainability performance and its external impact on the industry and products. It covers a range of sustainability indicators, for example a carbon footprint, water use and transportation intensity. Over time, the quantified parameters can serve as a powerful goal and monitoring tool to measure actual achievements.

Our LCA partner is Joep Meijer of The Right Environment. With over 10 years of experience The Right Environment has serviced a variety of industries and governments on quantifying environmental performance, including over 200 products. The services include Environmental Product Labels, Sustainability Benchmarking and Feasibility studies for Recycling and Return Systems.

Creative development

From our diversity and experience comes innovation and progress within budget and schedule. Our team is comprised of designers and architects who have a passion for sustainability and the ability to deliver valuable solutions. We pull together resources to provide you with the best and most innovative design ideas to influence your brand towards the green market it intends to occupy, and improve the efficiency of your supply chain. We will look deeply at your supply chain and suggest new sourcing paths, and sales distribution routes to create truly sustainable products. Through product design, we deliver solutions that will ripple sustainability throughout your entire company profile.

Immediate Product Suggestions

In the case of a tight timeline or budget, we have the ability to pull together resources in short order to provide you with the best design ideas and skill sets possible. This option allows us to recommend immediate options for being more sustainable based on existing product lines.

Material Procurement

Knowledge of where a material is manufactured, its contents and its properties will become increasingly important as we develop strong criteria for alternatives. Throughout this phase, we will help you switch from conventional materials to more responsible, sustainable, and healthy options. Through our large network of material manufacturers and resources, we obtain samples while compiling information about pricing, availability and options for variables such as colors, finishes, thickness, and life span.

Prototyping

After a Material Procurement phase, we also have the opportunity to work with our design team and manufacturing partners to create product prototypes to test and sample. We will test performance against environmental safety guidelines to gain consumer feedback. A prototyping phase can extend into package design and design of a distribution path for the product to increase efficiency, minimize global footprint, and maximize sustainability attributes. This process rounds out the design and life cycle of each product suggestion.

Brand Development and Marketing Strategy

Finally, we will take the opportunity to communicate the changes we have helped you achieve. With our strong design and brand development team and partners, we will extract what we learned throughout studying your company and create a strong brand for your eco-products. We will work to create a strong, dynamic, and genuine marketing strategy that will communicate your dedication to reducing industry impact, becoming industry leaders in sustainability, and infusing sustainable innovation throughout your company's practices.

Proactive Stakeholder Communications Training

After researching and completing work with your company it will be time to share your new sustainability profile with the public. In order to do this in a genuine and informed fashion, it will be important that your internal departments are aware of the changes and the information that backs them up. As a result, we offer custom tailored training packets or programs for your marketing department that will aid them in carrying the torch and communicating powerful messages to the public.

Goals & Strategic Planning

During the course of the consulting work we perform with you we will have the opportunity to learn about your company, the industry, and your goals. This final phase is an opportunity to organize collected information and present you with a progressive, feasible, longer-term strategy and timeline. We tailor a custom package that will give your manageable stepping stones for continued growth. The implementation of this plan will allow you to be responsible, educated, and progressive industry leaders dedicated to healthy and sustainable products for our next generation.
